Dave Hooper is a singer, songwriter, musician, and author, who resides in the city of Santa Rosa, California.

Dave Hooper has spent several decades performing professionally in the U.S. and Europe, where he lived in the early 1970s. He has also lived in Nashville, and spent more than 20 years in Austin, Texas, where he fronted the band "Dave Hooper and the Corporate Monkeys". He has released twelve albums on his own label, the latest being “ Heart Shadows”, in collaboration with Phil Lawrence. Hooper is also the author of two novels published under his full name, David Matson Hooper.

Dave currently sings and plays guitar and harmonica in the Americana band, "Hooper and Sloss". Other members of "Hooper and Sloss" are: Dan Sloss, guitar, accordion, vocals; Rick Walt: bass and vocals, and Steve Taylor drums and vocals. The band has been together and working as a duo, trio, and four-piece unit since 2014. However, Dave also worked previously with Dan in the trio "Hooper, Sloss, and Blackford," and with Steve in "Swift and Blue".
